The Alford Craft Market bank holiday event, which is in its 36th year of running, is once again descending on the area for three days.
It will be running from Friday August 26 to Sunday 28 from 10am to 5pm each day.
Visitors to the free market will be able to witness the creative process in action and also get the chance to attend a number of craft and decorative workshops.
Kathryn Snookes, Treasurer for the Alford Craft Market Committee, said: “It will be a brilliant day out for all the family as an awful lot of hard work goes into putting on the event.
“We heavily rely on donations from the community and we are grateful for all the support it receives.
“So please come along and enjoy the day and donate whatever you can.”
There will also be traditional wood-turners, potters, hand made jewellers and more exhibiting and selling their crafts.
Staff from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve will be at the event each day and face painting and refreshments served in the manor house.
Next door, in the Alford Methodist Church, members of Withern Artists Group are hosting their own event featuring water paintings, hand made cards, and various other crafts.
This event, which is running from Saturday, Sunday and Monday, is also free but donations are welcome and will be made available to the church.
The Craft Market committee has also streamlined its membership and is looking for new artists for it to foster and assist in their career. If you are interested visit www.alfordcraftmarket.co.uk for further details.
There is no admission fee for the craft market but donations are welcome which will help the event continue to run for future years.
