A selection of Cornish food and crafts will be on display in Truro on Thursday as Sainsbury’s supermarket plays host to a Cornish Fair.
On Thursday July 28, members of the‘Made in Cornwall’ scheme will gather at Sainsbury’s to showcase some of the quality products produced in Cornwall, including local speciality foods and crafts.
“This is an exciting new venture which we are delighted to be involved with”, commented Andy Burnside from Trading Standards who runs the ‘Made in Cornwall’ Scheme. “Cornwall is renowned for its creativity, craftsmanship and wholesome food and drink, but the county’s small businesses are always looking for new outlets to sell their products.”
“We are delighted to welcome local businesses into our store”, added Mark Wolf, Deputy Store Manager of Truro Sainsbury’s store. “We intend to make this Cornish Fair a regular event on the last Thursday of every month.”
The Cornish Fair will be open between 10.00am and 4.00pm and will be found in the gallery on the first floor, just outside the café
